An opportunity to take action

Please see below. I got this from a friend in college. Actually, it's been very disheartening to see the downward trend we've been experiencing. Immigration has never been a better option at this point in our history.

In my philosophy classes in college, I was surprised to learn the real definition of politics: the privilege of a citizen to take part in the "polis"... to take action in the public arena. I always assumed that it was a dirty word. Apathy is the result when we refuse to "dirty" our hands with public life. It is the result when good men and women do nothing with their rights.

"All it takes for evil to prosper is for good men and women to do nothing."
