What does real freedom
look like?
I peer behind the bars of
the a work day's hours
and glimpse some vague
kind of heaven
made up of
ocean vistas and wide
spaces of
time.
Or isn't it being free
to love
you?
When I open up and
sweep away
all constraints:
I will still take this pen
and write these
words,
I will still go to great
lengths
to give, to create,
to tear at the boundaries
and find new
struggles
worthy of
my life.
And I would still
love
you.
