In Between
Sometimes, large
swaths of time
are lost in
queues,
listening to
the elevator
music of
call centers,
waiting for the
truck to arrive,
watching
furniture,
holding the pen,
holding the form,
holding the phone
as it burns
your ear.
Anything is
better than
this.
And then
you come
through.
And forget
this eternity
the next time
it comes
around.
