I thought
there wasn’t any
room for jokes
today, especially
today, but it
came in the
form of rice
porridge
topped with
three slices
of egg.

Existential,
essential
bowl of
everything
I want
to say
but can’t.
So, I laugh
until
the salt
comes out
of my
eyes.
