The Wizard
By Justine C. Tajonera
What makes him any different
from a wizard spouting
spells and weaving
things from
air and nothing?
He mutters a language
to himself,
a string of codes
understood and learned
by rote
and by heart.
From his set of commands
he can create colors,
structures, kingdoms
out of liquid crystal
displays.
There is a line of
knowledge that
divides us
and yet we meet
at the marketplace
of the very same
world.
One days his kind
will create a god
or monster
with a soul
indistinguishable
from
ours.
