Living in Anticipation
by Justine C. Tajonera
Life lived in anticipation is always
full of vivid things:
heart beating wildly,
adventure around the bend,
reckless enthusiasm.
Now has never been more
colorful, alive, breathtaking.
The sound of new languages
are coming out of the silence,
poetry and songs are
unfolding from their
shells.
I imagine myself in the
Ryoan-ji Temple,
immersed in the pattern
of the rock
garden.
Mystery and beauty
lose their distinctions
and yet are thrown into
stark relief.
This is
being
alive.
